Stabilizers for Professional Cameras & Systems
For large and heavy stabilizing systems like the “Russian arm”, the BaseCam Electronics team has developed special controllers that can operate with high currents, up to 13 Amperes per brushless motor, which makes it possible to increase the weight of the stabilized object up to 30 kg. Using a Pro controller or a combined system of CAN_MCU controller with usage of Can_Driver drivers, you can build a gimbal for professional systems:
- One, two, three or even four axis system for cameras weighing up to 30 kg
- These controllers are by default provided with firmware that supports the encoders usage, including models from leading manufacturers such as: AMT203, AS5048A,B , MA3, AS5600, RLS Orbis and any encoder with an analog output. Also upon request, it is possible to add support for Zettlex IncOder
- Desktop and mobile applications (iOS and Android) for tuning and controlling the gimbal
- The availability of automatic tuning algorithms based on minimizing the sensitivity function that allow you to adjust the optimal parameters of the gimbal's PID controller
- Ability to control the gimbal through external devices using the Serial API
- Support of advanced high-precision external IMU sensors for improved stabilization accuracy, including the latest version of GPS IMU v1.2
- Cloud storage of backup settings and calibrations
- Quick change of configuration profiles
- The ability to connect a WiFi module, that creates a transparent bridge between WiFi network and serial port. It supports the SimpleBGC32 mobile application (so far only iOS, Android support in the next release). Module is based on the ESP-12E and inherits all of its features
- It is possible to customize controllers on a client request
- Advantages of system architecture using CAN_Driver:
- Better wire routing in the gimbal construction and imunnity to EMI interference
- Ability to use limit switches and similar equipment
- Improved motor control algorithm
- More accurate and easy-to-use encoders are supported (with large hole diameters Zettlex IncOder, IC Haus IC MU)
- CAN_Driver can also be used with Extended or Pro controllers to change the number or order of stabilized axes (replacement from 1 up to 3 main stabilization axes or for additional motors, performing service functions upon command from an external controller)
